About the Practice: The Strategy Practice is a vital part of Accenture Strategy and focuses on addressing the CEO's most strategic priorities. We assist clients in developing strategies that integrate business and technology, create value and impact, shape new businesses, and design future operating models.

As a Business Strategist, you will have a tremendous learning opportunity rooted in Business Strategy. You will advise and work with our key global clients, driving end-to-end transformative strategic value and business growth. Joining our high-performing Mergers & Acquisitions team, you will be involved in driving the following initiatives:

Project Delivery:

  • Lead the execution of complex consulting projects for Private Equity clients across the Pre-Deal phase, Deal Execution phase, and Value Creation/Scaling of Portfolio companies.

  • Manage a team of Analysts and Consultants during project delivery.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery to clients through effective team management, defining deliverables, setting priorities and deadlines, reviewing work, providing feedback, and ensuring quality control.

Business Development:

  • Identify and convert client opportunities by building relationships with Global PE Leadership within Accenture, Accenture Client Account Teams, and Client stakeholders in PE firms across geographies.

  • Support RFP discussions, prepare proposal documents (e.g., proposed solution, deliverables, teaming, timelines, price, etc.), and deliver Client Orals, working closely with Accenture Bid Managers and Client Account Leads.

  • Leverage extensive knowledge and an integrated suite of methods, people, and assets to help account teams originate new projects/extensions.

Practice Development:

  • Contribute to the development of new assets/IP, thought capital, and POVs/Offerings to enhance the profile of your team and the firm, leading to demand generation.

  • Support hiring campaigns (lateral/campus) to build and grow the PE Consulting team aggressively, always ensuring team members are actively engaged in client projects.

  • Conduct and facilitate Brown Bag sessions, provide direct/indirect mentoring, and share knowledge to upskill fellow team members. Attend trainings and certifications on emerging concepts to stay relevant in the market.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience working in Private Equity, with top Private Equity firms or Consulting firms advising PE clients across Pre-Deal/Deal Execution phases and Value creation/Scaling of Portfolio companies.

  • Experience in Commercial Due diligence, Sector/Firm Research, Target Screening, M&A Deal Advisory, Post Merger Integration, Portfolio Value Creation, PortCo Growth Strategy, PortCo ESG Strategy, PortCo Technology Transformation, Outsourcing, etc.

  • Deep industry experience in one or more of the following sectors: CMT (Telecommunication/Media/High-Tech/Software & Platforms), Financial Services (Banking/Insurance/Capital Markets), Resources (Chemicals/Energy/Utilities), Healthcare/Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Services, or Retail.

  • Strong program management skills, including effective planning, managing, and coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic environment with distributed stakeholder groups. Ability to execute projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills, including experience in producing high-caliber reports, papers, presentations, and thought leadership.
